Kids read better when the story is about someone they'd like to meet, and at this age that someone usually has four legs, wings, or fins. These are our animal stories: short, a little silly, and sorted by reading level so you can pick one your kid can read out loud without a fight.
The easy ones use short, common words for beginning readers. The medium ones have more going on. Every card shows the level and the word count, so there are no surprises halfway through.
