1. General
Yomi Reading App ("Application") is an interactive reading companion application provided by Interlinear Oy ("Service Provider"). By using the Application, the user accepts these terms. For child users, the parent or guardian accepts these terms on behalf of the child.
2. Right of use
The Service Provider grants a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the Application. The right is valid until further notice, and may be revoked if the user violates these terms. Parents are responsible for monitoring their child's use.
3. Application use
The Application is intended for educational and personal use only. Virtual elements (energy, reading points) have no monetary value, cannot be transferred, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
4. Subscriptions and payments
Yomi requires an auto-renewing subscription to use. New users can try Yomi free for 3 days; if not cancelled before the trial ends, the subscription auto-renews at the chosen plan's price.
4.1 Plans and free trial
Subscriptions are available as weekly, monthly, and yearly plans. All plans start with a 3-day free trial. Exact prices are shown in the App Store before you confirm the purchase and may vary by country and local taxes.
4.2 Billing and auto-renewal
All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and billed to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. The same renewal price applies unless you are notified otherwise.
4.3 Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your device's App Store settings: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Yomi. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the current paid period.
4.4 Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple under their App Store refund policy. To request a refund, contact Apple Support or use reportaproblem.apple.com. We are unable to issue refunds directly.
4.5 Price changes
We may change subscription prices over time. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price increase takes effect on their plan, and must accept the new price for the subscription to continue renewing.
5. User responsibility
The user is responsible for profile selection, device functionality, internet connection, and supervising children's use. Users agree not to share credentials, use the app for commercial purposes, bypass technical limitations, or interfere with operation.
6. Data & privacy
See the privacy page for details. All user data is stored securely, linked only to device IDs (not personal info), and is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing.
7. Intellectual property
All intellectual property rights related to the Application — including the Yomi character, graphics, software code, and content — belong to the Service Provider. Users may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or use the Yomi character outside the Application.
8. Limitation of liability
The Application is provided "as is" without warranties. The Service Provider is not responsible for uninterrupted operation, error-free operation, tracking accuracy, or data loss. Maximum liability is limited to the amount paid by the user (if any).
9. Changes
The Service Provider reserves the right to change these terms, modify features, update the content library, or discontinue the Application. Continued use after such changes constitutes acceptance.
10. Applicable law
Finnish law applies. Disputes will primarily be resolved through negotiation. Otherwise, disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Finland.
