Emma's Birthday

Emma woke up excited in the morning. Today she would turn five years old! She jumped out of bed and ran to the kitchen, where a surprise was waiting for her: a birthday cake with five little candles dancing on top.

"Happy birthday, Emma!" exclaimed mom and dad. Emma blew out the candles, but surprisingly they lit up again! She blew harder, but the candles just flickered happily.

"Oh no," laughed mom. "I think I bought magic candles!"

Emma giggled and tried to extinguish the candles by all means. She blew, waved her hands, and even tried to blow with her nose. Finally, she figured it out: she sang a lullaby to the candles, and they fell asleep contentedly.

In the afternoon, Emma's friends arrived for the party. They played in the yard until Emma noticed something strange: a giant balloon was growing in the garden!

"Look!" Emma exclaimed. "A balloon tree!"

The children ran to the tree. Different colored balloons hung from its branches, growing like apples. Everyone got to pick their own balloon, and when they pulled it off, a funny "pop" sound was heard.

Emma's balloon was special. It was silver and sparkled in the sun. When Emma blew into it, it didn't fill with air but with tiny stars!

The children played with the balloons all afternoon. Emma's star balloon floated around her and lit the way when they played hide and seek.

In the evening, when the party was over, Emma sat on her bed with her star balloon. She stroked it gently and whispered: "Thank you for a wonderful day."

Suddenly, the balloon replied softly: "You're welcome, Emma. Happy fifth year!"

Emma smiled and fell asleep happily, with the star balloon shining beside her. This had been the best birthday ever!
